What it means
Order and payment information
Checkout brings together items, customer details, totals and payment choices. It can be hosted by a provider, embedded into a site or built from components. The integration determines which system creates and tracks the payment.
A completion screen is not enough
A browser redirect can be interrupted or manipulated, and some payment methods finish asynchronously. The business needs a documented server-side status flow and an order-state policy. It should handle expiration, payment failures and later adjustments without relying only on what the customer’s browser displays.
