What it means
Threshold approval
A common example is two approvals from a set of three authorized signers. The implementation may use native transaction scripts or a smart account. Its rules determine which actions need approval and how owners or thresholds can change.
Governance matters
Distributing signers can reduce reliance on one key, but it also creates coordination and recovery requirements. Shared devices, common backups or a single administrator can undermine the intended separation. Modules and emergency paths may introduce additional execution authority that must be examined.

In practice
A concrete example
A business requires two independently managed approvals before a treasury transfer, with documented replacement procedures for a lost signer.
Technical notes & boundaries
Multisignature and threshold MPC are different mechanisms. Check the actual signing rules, bypass paths, upgrade powers and recovery assumptions.
